I feel that UN100 should focus on how to study, more specifically how to study productivley. In my school we were always given little study guides for each test or exam, so I always knew what to study, but now I have to pick and choose what I feel is going to be on the exam, which trust me, isn't always the correct stuff. So I feel that I don't need to learn how to take notes, because I already konw how to do that, I need to learn how to effectively study, and not just read the information, but learn how to absorb it.

Awesome - because that is exactly what we are going to focus on for the next few weeks. Retaining info and studying. You're totally right, there are no study guides in college and it's so difficult to determine what is going to be on an exam when you have covered 10 chapters or so!

I know what you mean when you say your used to study guides from high school. I relied on those so much the past four years. Now I have to figure out on my own what's gonna be on the test and quizzes! Being able to actually absorb the information you're studying is hard too. Sometimes you think that you know it just cause you've read it a few times but then when you try to review you realize that you can't recall that info. Sometimes I think it helps to review the info so much, say it to yourself-use your fingers to count things off if you need to even-and do this until you can reiterate exactly what is in your notes (especially for anatomy!)
